"Journey 2" is part of a new series within the Ciruelo Series of Table and Chair themes. Often, the chair is a metaphore for the presence of myself in the painting. In this case, I used a photo transfer from a family photo of myself and my father to 'review' where I am in life in this moment which is different from the security the photo represents. Hence, the floating chair relates the lack of clarity and uncertainty I am expepriencing of late.
