2007 National Exhibition: Valerie Chitvanni, GWS
Chattahoochee Deadwood

While canoeing on a guided river canoe trip from the Chattahoochee nature center, I took a photograph of the shoreline. Did a quick value study from the photo in a Charles Harrington workshop and a small 9 x 12 painting from that value study. I did want to paint a bigger painting and it took three tries for this result. This final satisfying painting resulted from watercolor painting on gessoed D'Arches paper.
