Aftermath II is part of a series of paintings that are a result of the Katrina destruction. It speaks not only to the obvious "aftermath" of property damage, but more so to the permanent changes in peoples' lives that are less apparent to those of us that view this from a distance. The colors and frenetic lines are not pleasant to the eye; neither is the continued suffering of that region.
