First Annual 2012 Georgia Watercolor Society Signature Exhibition
The First Annual 2012 GWS Signature Show is being held at the Johns Creek Arts Center, Johns Creek, GA., January 28 - February 24, 2012. The opening reception was Saturday, January 28, 2012, 6 - 8 pm, at the Johns Creek Arts Center.
GWS Signature Exhibitions are open only to GWS Signature artists.
We had 45 local Signature Members who participated in this show and approximately 20 artists were in attendance at the Opening Reception. The event was very well attended - about 200 people.
Adair Williams' painting "Beau Soleil" was the recipient of the People's Choice Award - a check and ribbon - presented at the reception at the Johns Creek Art Center on Saturday, January 28, 2012.
At the Opening Reception two paintings were sold! Richard Clark's painting 'Afternoon Wash' and Fred Dorr's painting 'Closed Sundays'. There were also two more paintings sold: Bob Cargill's painting 'Snowfence' and Jean Jones' painting "Marsh Sunset". Congratulations!

Local Media Coverage
The local newspapers gave us great publicity prior to the show. A local reporter, Angela Abbamonte, interviewed Adair Williams because she wanted a feature article from the viewpoint of a Johns Creek resident who was also an artist in the show. The link to this article is here.
