Arlaine Morrison started painting seriously after relocating to Atlanta from her native Scotland. A former teacher, she has studied with several renowned artists, Judi Betts, Don Andrews, Skip Lawrence, George James and Lala Streett. She paints mainly in watercolor, but also works in acrylic, pastel and collage and is an enthusiastic photographer. Her watercolors on yupo, an exciting new painting surface, have had notable success. She finds inspiration from a wide range of subjects-landscapes, flowers, animals, people and still life, and her work can now be found in private collections in both the United States and Great Britain.
She is a member of Georgia Watercolor Society, Watercolor Society of Alabama, and an exhibiting member of the Joseph House Gallery, Columbus, Ga. She is an active member of the Atlanta Artists Center, and her work has also been shown at the Sawnee Artists Gallery in Cumming, Ga.
