Dory Ingram
Soldiers of the Apocalypse
Dory began drawing in very early childhood and took art classes throughout high school and college. Over a period of 30-plus years, she studied art in various media, first at Vanderbilt University, and later at the University of Georgia and at numerous art centers, including Callanwolde Fine Arts Center and the Spruill Center for the Arts.
In the spring of 2003, she received her B.F.A. in Drawing, Painting, and Printmaking from Georgia State University. Over the last three years, Dory has exhibited in five group shows and two solo exhibitions, and within the past year she has exhibited and won awards in four juried competitions. She is currently working primarily in watercolor, acrylic, and dry media.
Dory began painting in watercolor late in her career, after twenty years as a professional librarian, followed by eight years in training and human resources. She is a Past President of GWS.
