An unfulfilled dream was available to me after I retired from a career in law enforcement. I had always wished I could "paint" and so set out to see if I could. After several months of self instruction, I took my first watercolor lessons from Cathy Ehrler in 2000. I then took private lessons from Joy Lyons for two years, and have also had the privilege of studying with Billie Mathis, Mary Hogrefe, and Terry Madden. My paintings have been in numerous exhibits and are in private collections throughout the country.

I paint a variety of subject matter, my favorites being people, florals, and birds. I have had the honor of being selected to do a painting for the cover of a children's book which was published in 2006.

I am on the Board of Directors of the South Cobb Arts Alliance in Mableton, Georgia, and am a member of the Georgia Watercolor Society. I continue to seek opportunities for advancing my training and am always striving to improve.
