I began painting seriously when my husband and I moved to the USA 10 years ago following a company transfer. Previous to this I had studied textile design and fine art in the UK when my full time job allowed. I had been an acrylic painter but found that in Georgia it all dried too fast.

I decided to study watercolor. Once I got over my initial fear of the medium I fell in love with its vibrancy and the fact that it has a life of its own which often takes no notice of your ideas or direction. I love all of its strange idiosyncrasies.

Color is of great importance to me and my work truly reflects that part of my psyche.
