Scholarship Show
For the second year in a row, the Georgia Watercolor Society organized a show and scholarship program devoted exclusively to graduating high school students. Students from public high schools in Cobb, Dekalb, Fulton, and Gwinnett counties submitted watercolor and acrylic paintings to this competition.
The winning paintings were displayed at Binders Limelight Gallery in Atlanta, GA from April 6 - April 26, 2009. Over $2000 in awards were provided to top students for their continued art study.
“We are very excited to continue this scholarship program to inspire and support the development of tomorrow’s fine artists,” commented GWS Community Outreach Chair, Judy Greenberg. She is in charge of this relatively new initiative and hopes to see it expand in the future.
The Georgia Watercolor Society is grateful to Binders Art and Frames for their generous support of this show.
