2008 National Exhibition and Workshop with Mel Stabin
The 2008 National Exhibition will be on display at the Quinlan Arts Center in Gainesville, Georgia, through May 25. Mel Stabin judged the show and conducted a workshop. 73 paintings from 19 states were selected from almost 500 entries. read more
GWS Offers New Student Scholarship Show and AwardsFor the first time in its 33-year history, the Georgia Watercolor Society has organized a scholarship program devoted exclusively to high school students. The winning paintings will be featured in a public exhibit at Sam Flax Art & Design in Atlanta, GA from April 13 - April 27, 2008. There will be a reception and awards ceremony from 1-3 p.m. that is freen in open to the public. Over $2000 in awards will be provided to students for continued art study.
